Rainbow In The Clouds Cookies
A recipe to brighten your day!
Total time: 1 hour 50 minutes
Prep time: 40 minutes, Cook time: 10 minutes, Rest time: 1 hour
Ingredients for 5 people
3 cups of flour
2 tbsp of baking soda
3/4 cup of butter
1 egg
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 lemon
Red food coloring
Blue food coloring
Yellow food coloring
Tools
Cling wrap
Piping bag
Step 1/4
Mix the flour and baking powder. Mix the butter and the sugar until you obtain a creamy texture. Add the egg and the vanilla extract to the flour and baking powder gradually, mixing until you obtain a smooth dough.

Divide the cookie dough into 5. Add 1 knife tip of red food coloring powder to one part of the dough to obtain a red dough, 1 knife tip of the blue food coloring powder o a part of the dough to obtain a blue. Add 1 knife tip of yellow food coloring powder to one part of the dough to obtain a yellow dough. Add 1 knife point of yellow food coloring powder, 1 half knife point of blue food coloring powder to a portion of dough to make a green dough. Add1 knife point of red food coloring powder and 1 half point knife blue food coloring powder to the last part of the dough to get a purple dough. Knead each ball of dough separately until you get 5 balls of brightly colored dough.
Step 3/4
Form a sausage 0.8 inch thick with the purple dough, roll out the blue dough and wrap it around the purple dough. Repeat the action with each colored dough, pressing each colored band together to form a multicolored log. Wrap the log in cling wrap and refrigerate it for 1 hour. Remove the log from the cling film, cut it into slices to obtain rainbow cookies then bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350°F .

Mix the lemon juice and the powdered sugar until you obtain a smooth icing. Place it in a piping bag, pipe dots of icing to form clouds at each end of the rainbow cookies. Let the icing clouds dry and enjoy.
