Ingredients for 6 people
2 puff pastries
3 tbsp of chili powder
2 cups of ground beef
2 cups of tomato sauce
1 cup of caramelized onions
1 cup of red bell pepper
3 tbsp of garlic
1 cup of cheddar
1 egg
1 bag of fritos
5 jalapeños
5 hot dogs
8 oz of cream cheese
15 slices of bacon
1 cup of sour cream
Step 1/2
Line a pie pan with one puff pastry sheet then layer with ground beef and cheddar. Mix garlic, onions, red peppers, chilli powder and tomato sauce together. Pour over the ground beef and cheddar. Lay the other puff pastry sheet over the top of the pie, crimp the edges with a fork to seal, then beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pie. Score the center and bake in a 350°F until done.
Step 2/2
Remove seeds from jalapeños and slice lengthwise down the center. Coat each hot dog in cream cheese, wrap the jalapeños, like cuffs, around the cream cheese hot dogs, then wrap each hot dog in bacon. Sear in a saute pan on all sides until golden brown. Place the bacon wrapped jalapeño hot dogs around the pie and serve with sour cream and Fritos. Enjoy!
