Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients for 4 people

1 onion, sliced into 4 rings

3 jalapeƱos, diced

cheddar cheese, grated

flour, for coating

2 eggs, beaten

breadcrumbs, for coating

1 pound of ground beef

1 egg

10 slices of american cheese

salt

pepper

chefclub seasoning blend

sesame seeds, for garnish

vegetable oil, for frying

lettuce, for garnish

tomato slices, for garnish

Tools

Parchment paper

Step 1/4

Peel and cut thick slices of an onion and remove the middle rings, keeping only the large outer rings. Dice jalapeƱos and add to the cream cheese. Add grated cheddar, salt and pepper, mix well. Fill each ring of onion with the cream cheese mixture and freeze for 1 hour.

Step 2/4

Coat each frozen onion ring in flour, followed by the beaten eggs. Lastly, dip onions into the breadcrumbs to coat evenly. Fry the onions in oil until golden brown. Sprinkle two onions with sesame seeds and set aside.

Step 3/4

In a bowl, add ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Chefclub Seasoning mix, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine. On a sheet of parchment paper, form two large patties and two small patties. Flatten each on with the back of a spoon. Cut the stack of cheese slices into four parts, separate one stack in half and place both halves in the center of the larger patty. Place the smaller patty on top of the cheese and fold the excess meat from the larger patty up towards the edge of the smaller patty. Repeat the same steps for the second burger. Cook burgers in a frying pan until done.

Step 4/4

Place lettuce and tomato on top of plain fried onion slice. Add the burger and garnish with ketchup and mustard. Place sesame seed covered onion slice on top. Enjoy!
