Ingredients for 4 people
1 loaf of round bread
16 slices of bacon
1 clove of garlic
30 g of butter
2 yellow onions
1 red onion
1 tbsp of sugar
75 cl of cream
30 g of shredded mozzarella
30 g of swiss cheese
Tools
Parsley
Parchment paper
Step 1/3
Cut off the top of the bread then remove the center to hollow out the bread. Cut the top of the bread into slices. Wrap each of these slices in bacon. Rub the inside of the bread with the peeled garlic clove and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Step 2/3
Melt the butter in a saucepan then add the onions cut into strips, then add the sugar. Mix well and let the onions caramalize. When they are golden, add the cream, bring it to a boil and pour into the bread.
Step 3/3
Place the bread and bacon-wrapped sliced on a baking tray covered with parchment paper, add the mozzarella and Swiss cheese to the soup and place in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 °F. Remove from the oven and enjoy by dipping the bread into the onion soup.
