Total time: 1 hour

Ingredients for 6 people

7 jalapeños

2 cups of cream cheese

1 cup of cheddar cheese

1 tbsp of garlic powder

2 pizza doughs

6 bell peppers (2 red, 2 yellow, 2 green)

6 sausages

1 onion, diced

1 tbsp of oregano

1 tbsp of minced garlic, or garlic powder

salt & pepper

2 cups of crushed tomatoes

2 cups of cooked rice

grated mozzarella

1 cup of marinara sauce

parsley

Step 1/4

Cut the tops and bottoms off of the jalapeños, remove seeds. In a bowl mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt & pepper into a bowl. Place mix in a piping bag then fill jalapeños. Cut the tips of the pepper to form a flower-shape.

Step 2/4

Take a square pizza dough and cut into 6 strips. Fold each strip in half and seal with the tines of a fork. Stack then 2-by-2 and place into a pie plate lined with pizza dough. Place the stacked strips into the pie dish and press them all down in the center. Place one jalapeño popper in the center, then stand up the pizza dough stripes and place on jalapeño popper between each set of two dough strips. Close the strips around the poppers and set aside.

Step 3/4

Cut the tops off of the bell peppers then remove about 1-inch of height, chop this band into small pieces and set aside. In a hot pan, add the sausages with the casing removed. Add onion, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until meat is browned then add crushed tomatoes and cooked rice. Then add chopped bell peppers and mix until combined. Place this mix inside each of the peppers. Then place stuffed peppers into the pizza dough, into the spots created with the strips. Top each pepper with grated mozzarella. Pour marinara sauce between each pepper. Bake for 35 minutes at 400 °F.

Step 4/4

Remove from oven and top with each stuffed pepper with a few diced bell pepper pieces and parsley for color. Slice, serve, enjoy!
