Cornbread Chili Boat

Ingredients for 6 people
chili con carne
1 box of cornbread mix
sunflower seed oil
cooking spray
barbecue sauce
whiskey
fried onions
chives

Step 1/3
Prepare your favorite chili recipe. Next, prepare the cornbread batter according to box instructions. Heat the oil in a sauce pan, spray the backside of a large metal spoon with cooking spray, dip into the cornbread batter, dunk in the oil, and fry until golden brown. Remove from the spoon and set aside.
Step 2/3
Cut the cheddar cheese into cubes and place 1 cube in each muffin tin cup (fill 2 muffin trays total). Add a spoonful of barbecue sauce and a touch of whiskey to each cup and bake for 5 minutes at 375 °F.
Step 3/3
Place the cornbread bites on a serving plate and garnish with a generous spoonful of chili, melted cheese, fried onions, and chives. Enjoy!
