Open the doors to a fantastic world for the entire family
After uncovering the entrance to a mysterious castle, our adventurers step into a vast cave, where a shimmering lake lies still at its center. Suddenly, a towering golden dragon emerges from the depths! As the guardian of the sour flavor, he presents them with a daring challenge: among three glasses, only one holds pure lemon juice… the other two contain a deadly poison. Who will have the courage to make the right choice and drink it in one gulp?
After successfully winning the sour flavor, the young adventurers step through another door of the castle and suddenly find themselves aboard a pirate ship in the middle of a storm! On deck, they meet the fearsome captain, who fiercely guards the salty flavor. But this captain has a playful side and issues a daring challenge—an invitation to dinner. The flavor of salt will only be granted to the one who can finish every dish!
After collecting the first two flavors, the Chefclub Friends arrive in an enchanted forest made of cookies and candy. At the end of the path, a gingerbread house catches their eye—but suddenly, a witch appears! As they try to escape, Elvis pauses, hearing her sobs… Sad and weary, she reveals that she has lost the memory of sweetness. Their next challenge is clear: bring back her forgotten flavors!
After winning the sour, salty, and sweet vials, the four friends step into a dark corridor leading to a vast, circular chamber. There, a mysterious knight stands beside a towering mirror. To claim the flavor of bitterness, the knight presents them with a seemingly simple challenge: eat a whole bitter orange. But there’s a hidden catch—with every bite, the mirror reveals a shameful memory of the one who eats the fruit…
Just as they believe they’ve conquered every challenge, one final trial awaits the four friends—the quest for a mysterious flavor: umami. They enter a vast chamber, where a stone giant, covered in vines, looms before them. With a deep, rumbling voice, he presents them with their ultimate challenge: solve his riddle before time runs out… Only their ingenuity and teamwork will lead them to victory!
From inspiration to action
At the end of each book, young readers will find an exclusive recipe inspired by the story's theme, along with educational games aimed at deepening their understanding of flavors, all in a fun and engaging way.
At the heart of these heroes is Pierre Soppelsa, author and illustrator, who brought the Chefclub Friends to life with a simple idea: creating lovable characters to make cooking fun, playful, and educational through a collection of step-by-step illustrated recipe books.
A few years later, Pierre brings these characters far beyond the kitchen in this first graphic novel. This captivating adventure, designed for the whole family, blends entertainment and learning, exploring modern themes such as food education and environmental awareness, and sustainability.
In a world where processed foods dominate, we believe that children who understand the natural cycle of fruits and vegetables grow into conscious adults, capable of caring for the earth while adopting healthy and sustainable eating habits.
