Total time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for 8 people

6 eggs

1 1/8 cups of sugar

1 3/4 cups of flour

whipped cream

1 bag of marshmallows

1/4 cup of powdered sugar

m&m's ® minis

2 milk chocolate bars

chocolate sprinkles

chocolate beads

multicolored sprinkles

multicolored hard candies

Tools

Electric hand mixer

Tall cake pan

Rolling pin

Wooden spoon

Parchment paper

Straws

Step 1/4

Whisk the eggs and sugar with an electric hand mixer, then fold in the flour. Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350 °F.

Step 2/4

For the first cake : Demold the cake upside down on a plate and cut out a cylinder from the middle of the cake. Place envelopes containing gifts or small presents in the hollow and turn the cake over onto a new plate. Ice the cake with whipped cream. Place the marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 3 minutes to melt. Add the icing sugar to make fondant and roll it out in a large rectangle on parchment paper. Cut the rectangle into long strips 1/4" wide. Wrap 4 strips around the handle of the wooden spoon to make twists. Arrange 3 more strips in a star shape on top of the cake. Decorate the side of the cake with M&M's ® minis. Add the twisted strips on top. Tie a knot with another strip and place it on top as well.

Step 3/4

For the second cake : Ice the cake with whipped cream. Break the squares of 1 chocolate bar without opening it and microwave for 30 seconds. Cut one of the corners of the packet and squeeze the packet to pipe the chocolate over the top of the cake. Add chocolate sprinkles and beads on top. Repeat with a second chocolate bar and use it to draw numbers on parchment paper. Place the parchment paper in the freezer for 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer, peel off the numbers and stick them upright on the cake.

Step 4/4

For the third cake : Ice the side of the cake with whipped cream but not the top. Cut out the letters of the name of the birthday person in paper and stick them to the whipped cream. Pour multicolored sprinkles on a baking tray and roll the cake in it. Ice the top of the cake with whipped cream. Place the hard candies in 5 bowls sorted by color and microwave for 30 seconds. Dip the ends of the straws in the melted candy and blow into them to make balloons. Stick the straws into the top of the cake. Remove the paper letters to reveal the name. Add candles and enjoy the cake of your choice.
