The Rainbow Crepes
This recipe will have you skipping with joy!
Total time: 1 hour 25 minutes
Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 10 minutes, Rest time: 1 hour
Ingredients for 6 people
1 1/2 cups of flour
2 cups of milk
1 tbsp of oil
1 lemon juice
Red food coloring
Yellow food coloring
Blue food coloring
Step 1/4
Place the flour in a bowl, form a well in the center of the flour, break the eggs and place them in the well. Add the oil, salt, a little milk, then mix. Gradually add the rest of the milk and the lemon juice. Mix until you obtain a smooth batter.
Step 2/4
Place 7 cups on the work surface. Fill 3 cups with water, add a dash of food coloring in the 3 cups to obtain the primary colors.
Step 3/4
Mix 3 drops of red coloring and 9 drops of yellow coloring to obtain the orange in an empty cup. Mix 4 drops of yellow coloring and 3 drops of blue coloring to obtain the green. Mix 3 drops of red coloring and 1 drop of blue coloring to obtain pink. Mix 2 drops of yellow coloring and 12 drops of blue coloring to obtain turquoise. Mix 9 drops of red coloring and 6 drops of blue food coloring to get purple.
Step 4/4
Divide the batter into 7. Add each color of food coloring to each batter. Allow to rest 1 hour in the fridge. Pour a ladle of batter into a hot pan and cook each crepe for 3 minutes.
